DIY – Baby Shower Decorations
T minus 5 days until I’m hosting a carnival themed baby shower for Baby Nolyn, and his mom too of course, where would we be without her?! Yesterday I finished up half of the tissue paper poms which are going to be hanging from the ceiling in my dining room and living room. Love all the bright fun happy colors, especially since the weather is just starting to get cold here…I needed that little pick me up! Also, before my Mom left to head back to Florida she helped me put together the diaper cake and I decorated it shortly after she left. Wish she could have stayed to see the finished project!
There are awesome tutorials all over for these projects but I’ll share my favorite with you so that you can make this same look for the next party your planning.
Diaper Cake
This was my first diaper cake but I’ll definitely make one again! Super easy, quick, and fairly inexpensive if you steer clear of those name brand diapers. I watched this How to Make a Diaper Cake Video Tutorial on YouTube and I was ready to go gather all my supplies.
Felt Flowers
There are many styles of felt flowers, and many techniques to master in creating your felt floral wonderland. I loved this compilation of felt flower tutorials when first learning the craft!
Tissue Pom Poms
Well, although Martha got it right with this one, I prefer tutorials from real people so I followed this tissue paper pom pom tutorial to get rolling on my project!
Later this week I’ll be making my scrapbook paper pendant banner!

Thanks, Mel! And thanks for stopping by the blog
Glad I was able to see the final project. The cake looks great, as do the pom-pom’s. Have fun at the party.
Thanks for all your help
