So… I didn’t fall in love with any pre-made wrapping paper’s this season, so I made my own using Kraft Paper, Felt, and Yarn! Here’s a Tutorial for the designs I’ve come up with, so you can make your own too! It doesn’t take as long as you would think once you get in the swing of things, give it a try and just wait to see the smile on your gift recipient’s face when they see their gorgeous gifts!

Finally some photos from Crystal’s awesome Carnival Baby Shower from October. I had so much fun coming up with ideas to decorate this party! Circus Party decorations are so bright and cheery and perfect for a child’s birthday or baby shower!
T minus 3 days until this carnival themed baby shower is getting started. I’ll be out of town the day before the party watching Auburn play the Gators (my 2 favorite college schools) in Auburn so I’ve got to get this house cleaned and decorated before I go.
Yesterday I made these easy DIY paper pennant banners to serve as carnival themed decorations in less than an hour. These will go great with the carnival diaper cake and pom pom puffs I made earlier this week. Here’s a short tutorial to get you started on your own pennant banners!
T minus 5 days until I’m hosting a carnival themed baby shower for Baby Nolyn, and his mom too of course, where would we be without her?! Yesterday I finished up half of the tissue paper poms which are going to be hanging from the ceiling in my dining room and living room. Love all the bright fun happy colors, especially since the weather is just starting to get cold here…I needed that little pick me up! Also, before my Mom left to head back to Florida she helped me put together the diaper cake and I decorated it shortly after she left. Wish she could have stayed to see the finished project!
I don’t get the opportunity to party plan often…being an only child means I have no siblings to throw bridal or baby showers for, no nieces and nephews to plan birthday parties for, and well, since I have no children of my own either, that leaves me with little chance to utilize all the fabulous birthday party ideas and baby shower ideas that I have running through my head. But, the good news is I now have the chance to host a baby shower for my good friend here in Alabama. So what better baby shower theme than a Carnival/Circus themed baby boy baby shower! I can’t wait to have all those bright colors all over my house, and I can’t wait to do it Simply Salvage style either!
