Bench Makeover

Spray Painted Furniture

Bench Before and After

This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned my Etsy customers before, but I really am lucky to have a fabulous group of ladies repeatedly come back for more custom creations from my Etsy Shop – Simply Salvage. 70+ orders and not a single man client yet…hmmm. I would love to have some though!

This project was for Sophie. Here’s a before and after bench picture for you. Sophie wanted a few pieces for her bathroom and specifically something to go into that nook so many of us have in our bathrooms built in to the cabinetry…you know the one I’m talking about! Some use it for the laundry basket, my big nook houses one tiny floor scale and that’s it….I need to do one of these for my bathroom as soon as I decide what colors I’m going with in there!

I’ve already given ya’ll a painted bench makeover tutorial, so I’ll show you some of the progress photos from this project and let you check out the full tutorial on that post. The only think I’ve done differently for this project is use 1″ foam instead of bed padding for my cushion, and used an electric knife to cut it to size. It really did a great job cutting through the foam just like butter :)

FYI. you have a Singer stool that went with one of their sewing machine
    cabinets.

I just picked up a bench like this at a barn sale this weekend!!! Great makeover…I’m thinking of painting mine a bluish-green (distressed of course) with a linen cushion. :) Thanks for sharing!
