Handmade Gifts
Gift giving doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, and yes, you can make a handmade gift from the heart that doesn’t take hours on end to complete. Here’s a tutorial for a handmade pedestal bowl, which is going to be given to my sweet grandmother for Christmas this year!
There really are so many uses for this little guy. Use it on the next to the kitchen sink to hold your little scrubber or sponge, or just to hold the rings you slide off while on dish duty. Keep it next to your bed for taking off that last minute jewelry, or in the bathroom with cute rose soaps on display.
Handmade Christmas Gift – Pedestal Bowl Tutorial
I found this sweet little gold rimmed bowl at my local thrift store for $2.00.
And found a pair of these tiny brass candlesticks at another thrift store for $.50 a pair.
Then I just cleaned both up really well and used my trusty E6000 to attach the candlestick to the base of the bowl..
And ta-da! Instant totally unique handmade and thoughtful Christmas present for Grams! Can’t wait to see how she decides to use it. This bowl will totally fit in with the style of her house, which is vintage with no hint of modern in there
Gotta love Grandmas!
